Most of the smart watches pushed at us from Shenzhen are copies of somebody else's watch, and we turn every one of them down. Harsh, but there's a reason. Walk through Computer Village and you'll see the same four or five copied case shapes on every table, priced against each other until nobody makes money, and a customs officer at Tin Can only needs one look at a counterfeit logo to hold your whole consignment. Building a name of your own is slower and it pays better.
Which brings us to the watch above. Round case, metal bezel, AMOLED panel, silicone strap. Round sells here because plenty of buyers want something that still reads as a watch on the wrist, and because a bezel with markings sits comfortably with a suit or with agbada. Consider it one worked example out of many. You might want 1.32in, you might want 1.6in, you might want a square case because that's what your shop actually shifts. AMOLED or ordinary TFT. Metal, plastic or resin body. Straps in silicone, leather, nylon or steel link, on 20mm or 22mm quick-release pins so buyers can swap them themselves.
Bluetooth calling is the feature that changes the selling price. A watch with a speaker and mic that answers a call sits in a different bracket from one that only mirrors your notifications, and the gap at the factory gate is far narrower than the gap on the shelf. For Nigerian retail, specify calling. I've yet to see a case where it didn't pay for itself.
Battery claims need reading carefully. Thirty days of standby means thirty days with the screen dark and every sensor asleep, which describes a watch in a drawer. Switch on the always-on display, take calls, track heart rate through the day, and a 300 to 400mAh cell gives three to seven days. We quote you the actual mAh so your customers aren't back at your counter after a week. One consignment we handled shipped with the factory's own demo logo still sitting in the boot animation, and nobody spotted it until cartons were opened in Ibadan. Since then we ask for a video of a production unit powering on before we release the run.
On health features, sell them for what they are. Heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep scoring, and blood pressure on some models. These give you wellness estimates that move in roughly the right direction. Anyone marketing a blood pressure reading from a watch at this price as a medical measurement will eventually meet an angry customer. Units go out plain and neutral, or carrying your brand on the case back, the strap, the box and the watch faces.
Two things we won't do
We don't source copies. No watches that copy another company's case shape, name or watch faces. Trademarked goods get seized at the port and the loss lands on you, never on the factory that made them. Everything we quote is either an unbranded design or one wearing your own brand.
We won't help you sell the sensors as medical instruments. Heart rate, SpO2 and especially blood pressure on a watch in this price bracket are wellness estimates. They point in the right general direction.
Describe them that way to your customers and your return rate stays sane.

We do not publish prices, because the landed figure depends on the specification, the Customs valuation and the exchange rate on the day you pay.
Minimum order
The minimum is 50 units in total. Divide them however suits your shop: 20 round metal-bezel watches on silicone, 20 in a lighter resin case for the entry price point, 10 on steel link straps for the display cabinet. All one order, all counted together. Where your own branding goes onto the case, the box or the watch faces, expect 100 per design, because print plates and firmware builds carry their own minimums and no factory will break them for a short run. Stay neutral on packaging and 50 holds.
Lead time. Neutral-packaged stock takes around 12 to 18 days to Lagos on sea consolidation, or 6 to 9 by air. Branding is slower. Artwork, firmware for your boot screen and custom faces, then sample approval, adds something like 10 to 15 days before production even starts. Lithium cells are declared dangerous goods, which narrows the routing options and occasionally adds a day or two at the airline's end.
What decides the right one
Start with the number 50 and the rest of this page explains itself. That's the smallest order where a factory will actually engage with a mixed spec, and it's roughly where your slice of a groupage container stops eating the margin. Push past 50 toward 100 and you unlock your own branding, because a print plate and a firmware build both have minimum runs attached.
So why show one watch at all? Venocipal sources against a brief. A buyer came to us wanting a round watch with nobody else's logo on it, we went and found people who build that properly, and this page is the residue of that job. Your brief will differ. Maybe you want a square case. A rugged outdoor model with a compass for the oil-servicing crowd. A slim band rather than a watch. A kids' watch with a SIM slot, which sells surprisingly well to parents in Ibadan. Or something from a completely different aisle. Send whatever you have: a photo, a marketplace link, a screenshot, a description typed badly at midnight. Whatever it is, we go and work out who actually builds the thing, satisfy ourselves that the specification stands up, and put a delivered Nigerian price in front of you before you've spent anything.
Common questions
Is calling worth the extra cost?
Almost always, at Nigerian retail prices. The factory difference is small and the shelf difference is large. Give us your target price and we'll tell you where it lands.
What battery life should I promise buyers?
Three to seven days of genuine daily use on a 300-400mAh cell. Anything quoting thirty days is measuring a watch that's doing nothing.
Can somebody swim in one?
No. IP67 and IP68 here covers rain, sweat and washing your hands. Say so at the point of sale and you'll avoid arguments later.
Are lithium cells a problem for shipping?
They're declared dangerous goods, so the paperwork and the routing differ from ordinary cargo. We handle that, but it's why lithium products can't simply be thrown into any consolidation.
Can one order cover several sizes, colours and straps?
Yes. The minimum applies to the shipment as a whole, so the mix inside is your business.
Can my own brand go on them?
Case back, strap, box, boot screen and custom watch faces, all possible. Branding typically lifts the minimum to 100 per design because of the print and firmware runs.
What if wearables aren't what I'm after?
Show us the product you do want. Screenshot, photo, link, or a sentence describing it. Chasing down whatever a buyer points at is the work we actually do.
