Screw it into any E27 holder and it behaves like an ordinary bulb. Kill the mains and it keeps burning off its own cell. No wiring, no bracket, no installation, and nothing to explain across a counter. In a country where the supply drops two or three times before dinner, that is a product the shopkeeper barely has to sell.
Description
Eight in the evening in a flat off Bodija. Fan stops. Television dies. Everyone in the sitting room says the same word at once and somebody starts patting the arm of the chair for a phone. Except the ceiling light is still on. That is the entire product.
Inside the globe sits a small lithium cell that tops itself up any time the bulb is switched on and mains is present. Cut the supply and a sensing circuit hands the LED across to the battery without a flicker. Plenty of builds add a pull-cord or a small remote so the bulb can be lifted out of the holder and carried around as a lamp, and that is the feature that gets a household through the rest of the night instead of just the first ten minutes of it.
Wattage on its own tells you almost nothing here. Read it against the cell or you will get it wrong. Seven watts drawing on 1500mAh gives a genuinely useful stretch of light. Push the wattage up while the cell stays where it is and the bulb looks brighter under the shop fluorescents, then lets you down two hours into an outage. We quote the pairing rather than the headline number, because runtime is the only figure your customer will ever actually check.
Decide the colour temperature yourself instead of leaving it to chance. The same housing gets built anywhere between 2700K and 6500K, and a factory that hasn't been told will ship whatever is stacked nearest the loading door. Cool white moves in Nigeria. Warm white sits. We have watched warm-white stock gather dust on a shelf in Dugbe for most of a year while the same trader reordered cool white twice over.
One last thing worth saying flatly. A batch we were checking came back built with dual 110V and 220V circuitry the supplier had never mentioned. Electrically sound, commercially pointless, since it costs more and no one in Nigeria has any use for the 110V half. We ask that question before we ask about price now. Single-range 220-240V is what you want, and when a quote comes in oddly cheap, that is one of the places the difference tends to be hiding.
The cell gives out long before the LED does
The LED is not what fails. An LED in this bulb will outlast the fitting. The cell behind it won't. Cycled every evening, a cheap cell is noticeably weaker inside a year and dead not long after, and the bulb comes back to your counter.
So the cell is the thing to specify. Chemistry and capacity, not lumens. LiFePO4 lasts longest and copes best with heat, which counts for a lot under a zinc roof. Genuine 18650 lithium-ion sits in the middle and does the job.
What we measure. Brightness at full power and run time at full power, taken from the sample rather than the carton, with the half-power figure listed separately so nothing gets blended into a flattering average.
Voltage and paperwork. E27 stock for this market is 220-240V at 50Hz. The cell makes the consignment declared dangerous goods, so UN38.3 documentation and compliant packing apply, and the SONCAP Product Certificate is issued before the goods sail.

Minimum order
Fifty pieces in total is where we start. Not fifty of each wattage, not fifty of each colour. A shipment holding 7W cool white, a higher wattage, and a few dozen units with remotes all counts as a single order against that number. Bulbs are small and light, which tilts the arithmetic your way: moving from 50 up to 300 barely touches your freight bill while it takes a real bite out of the price per unit. The place the fifty climbs is custom printing. Boxes carrying your own name mean a print run with its own minimum attached, and that usually drags the order closer to 100.
Lead time. Figure on 15 to 25 days at the factory once the sample is signed off and the deposit has cleared, then 30 to 40 days on the water into Apapa or Tin Can. SONCAP and the battery documentation run alongside production rather than after it, so they rarely add time on their own. Air freight is possible on small quantities and almost never worth it on something this cheap per piece. Where schedules genuinely slip is clearing and the crawl out of the port, so build your slack in on the Lagos end rather than the China end.
What decides the right one
People land on this page and assume they are looking at a catalogue. They aren't, and knowing that changes how you use the page. Venocipal buys to order. The fifty has almost nothing to do with bulbs. It comes from what sits behind every shipment. A SONCAP file costs the same whether the container holds ten bulbs or ten thousand. Battery documentation, same again. Freight has a floor under it that takes no interest in how little you bought. Order ten and the paperwork outweighs the goods. At fifty it is absorbed and the landed cost leaves you room to sell at a sane margin. Past a hundred it improves quickly. What is the smallest order you will take?
Fifty pieces, counted across the whole shipment. Mix wattages, mix colour temperatures, mix packaging. It all counts toward the same fifty.
How long does it stay on once the power goes?
Depends entirely on how the wattage and the cell are matched, so we will not guess at a number here. We time it on the approved sample and give you the real figure for the exact build you have chosen.
Cool white or warm white?
Cool, almost every time, for Nigerian homes and shops. Warm white is slow stock. Say nothing and the factory picks for you, which is how people end up with cartons they cannot shift.
Does it need any special fitting?
None at all. Ordinary E27 holder, same as whatever is on the wall now. Lead with that when you sell it.
Can I put my name on it?
The bulb body itself takes very little printing. Colour boxes take plenty, and that is the route most resellers go. Custom-printed packaging pushes the order minimum up nearer 100, because the printer has a floor of its own.
I need a completely different lamp.
