Injection machines are sold by clamping tonnage, and tonnage is set by the part you're making, not by the machine you'd like to own. Get the mould specified first.
Description
An injection moulding machine melts plastic granules, injects the melt into a closed mould under pressure, holds it while it cools, then opens and ejects the part. Clamping tonnage is the force holding the mould shut against injection pressure. Too little and the mould opens slightly, giving you flash on every part.
Tonnage follows from the projected area of your part and the material you're running. That's why the mould has to be specified before the machine, and why we ask about the part first every time someone asks us for a price.
Servo drives have largely replaced fixed hydraulics on new machines. The pump only works when the machine needs it, so power consumption drops meaningfully against an older hydraulic machine doing the same job. On Nigerian electricity costs, that difference is worth real money over a year.
Used machines are common in this category and can be good value. They also carry risk that a listing photo will not show you, which is why we inspect rather than assume.
Tonnage follows the part
Specify the mould before the machine. Clamping tonnage comes from your part's projected area and material. Buying a machine first and finding a mould later is how people end up with the wrong machine.
Servo drives cut your power bill. The pump runs on demand instead of continuously. On our electricity and diesel costs the saving is real, and it shows up every month.
Used machines need inspecting, not trusting. Platen wear, screw and barrel condition and controller age don't show in photos. We check these in person before we recommend a used machine to anyone.
Moulds are often the bigger spend. A good mould can cost as much as the machine or more. Budget for both together, because one without the other produces nothing.

These figures decide what parts the machine can make and what it costs to run. We confirm them against written supplier data before quoting.

We do not publish prices, because the landed figure depends on the specification, the Customs valuation and the exchange rate on the day you pay.
Minimum order
One machine. Almost everyone starts with one and adds capacity as orders justify it.
If you're buying moulds at the same time, order them together. Matching a mould to a machine across two suppliers and two shipments is a problem worth avoiding.
What decides the right one
The part comes first. Its size, material and how many you need per day. Everything else follows from that, and we can't shortcut it.
Then drive type. Servo costs more up front and less every month. On our power costs it usually pays back within a reasonable period, and we'll show you the arithmetic.
Then new against used. Used saves capital and carries risk. We'll inspect and tell you honestly which one we'd put our own money into.

What's the minimum order
One machine. Common starting sizes run from 90 to 380 tonnes depending on the part.
What tonnage do I need
It depends entirely on your part's projected area and material. Send us a drawing or a sample and we'll work it out properly.
Is a used machine a good idea
Sometimes. Well-maintained used machines are decent value, but condition varies enormously and photos hide a lot. We inspect before recommending.
Can you supply the mould too
Yes, and ordering it alongside the machine avoids compatibility problems and a second round of freight.
How is it shipped and installed
Containerised. These are heavy, so we plan offloading and positioning with you before it arrives.
