Interlocking Paving Stone Machines

Block machine output is quoted in blocks per hour, and that number assumes the mixer never runs dry and someone is always clearing the pallets. Neither is true on most sites.

Description

A block machine fills a mould with concrete, vibrates it to compact and settle the mix, then strips the mould and leaves the green blocks on a pallet to cure. Change the mould and the same machine makes hollow blocks, solid blocks or interlocking paving stones.

The cycle time is the machine's honest number. Fifteen to twenty seconds a cycle, times however many cavities are in the mould, gives you blocks per hour on paper. What you actually get depends on how fast concrete arrives and how fast finished pallets leave. Most sites are limited by one of those two, not by the machine.

Vibration is what separates a block that passes a strength test from one that crumbles at the edges. It's also the spec that's hardest to compare across quotes, because everyone claims their vibration system is good. Motor power and vibration frequency are the numbers to ask for.

What limits your actual output

The machine is rarely the bottleneck. Concrete supply and pallet handling usually cap your day, not cycle time. Size your mixer and plan your curing yard before you argue about blocks per hour.

Vibration decides block strength. Weak vibration gives you blocks that look fine and fail under load. Ask for vibration motor power and frequency in writing, because every supplier will tell you theirs is strong.

Pallets are a real cost. You need enough pallets for everything curing at once, which is more than a day's production. Buyers routinely forget this and stall on day two.

Moulds are consumables and extras. One mould comes with the machine. Every other block size is a separate purchase, so tell us all the products you plan to make before we quote.

Specification

These figures decide output and block quality. We confirm them against written supplier data before quoting.

Cycle time Seconds per pressing. Multiply by mould cavities for theoretical hourly output, then discount for real site conditions.
Vibration system Motor power in kW and vibration frequency. This is what compacts the mix and sets your block strength.
Automation level Manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic. Decides labour count and how consistent your output is across a shift.
Mould included Which block size ships with the machine. Additional moulds for other products are quoted separately.
Power supply 380V three-phase, 50Hz, matching our grid. Total connected load matters for generator sizing.
Pallet size and material Steel, wood or plastic, and the dimensions. Affects your pallet stock cost and how long they last outdoors.

We do not publish prices, because the landed figure depends on the specification, the Customs valuation and the exchange rate on the day you pay.

Minimum order

One machine, with at least the mould for your main product.

Extra moulds are worth ordering in the same shipment. Bringing a single mould in later costs more in freight than the mould itself, which surprises people.

What decides the right one

What you're actually making. Hollow blocks for walls and interlocking paving stones for driveways are different moulds and sometimes different machines. Tell us all of it now.

Then automation, against your labour situation. Manual machines are cheaper and need more hands. Fully automatic makes sense at volume, and only at volume.

Then everything around the machine. Mixer capacity, pallet stock, curing space. A block machine that outpaces its site is a machine standing still half the day.
