A mid-size SUV with a 1.5 litre turbo producing 145 PS and 210 N.m from 1,750 rpm, a 475 litre boot that opens to 1,500, and 163 mm of ground clearance. Five seats, not seven. One unit is a normal order.
Description
This is the family SUV in the range, and the first thing to say about it is what it is not.
It has five seats. If you came looking for a seven seater, this is not that vehicle and we would rather tell you now than after the deposit. Tell us you need seven and we will source one; it will be a different model and a different price.
What you get instead is a properly sized five seater. 4,500 mm long on a 2,670 mm wheelbase, 1,824 mm wide, with a 475 litre boot that opens to 1,500 litres with the rear seats folded. That is airport luggage for a family of five without anything on laps, and a genuine load bay when the seats go down.
The engine is a 1.5 litre turbo with intercooler, code SQRE4T15C, making 145 PS at 5,500 rpm and 210 N.m held from 1,750 all the way to 4,000. That spread is the part that matters day to day. It means the car pulls from low revs in traffic and overtakes on the expressway without hunting for a gear. It drives through a CVT to the front wheels.
Ground clearance is 163 mm. Kerb weight is 1,465 kg and the tank holds 51 litres.
On equipment, Chery fits LED headlights, leather seating and dual-zone climate control on this model. Exact trim varies by build and we confirm it against the specific unit before quoting rather than promising from a brochure.
As with everything we quote, this is the export car rather than the China domestic one, which means an international parts channel and an export warranty follow it out of the country.
Five seats. If you need seven, say so now
This one seats five. The most expensive mistake in this segment is assuming a family SUV seats seven because it looks big enough. This one does not.
That is not a criticism of the vehicle. Five seats and a 475 litre boot is a better daily car than a seven seater with 190 litres behind the third row, which is what most seven seat options in this price band actually offer. But it has to be your decision rather than a surprise on the quay.
Tell us in your first message. If you genuinely need the third row regularly, we will source a seven seater and quote it properly. If the third row would be occasional, this is the better vehicle, and the folded boot gives you 1,500 litres on the days it matters.
On the two rules that end most cheap finds: this is left hand drive, which is what Nigeria registers, and it is a new unit, so the twelve year age limit does not come into it.

We do not publish prices, because the landed figure depends on the specification, the Customs valuation and the exchange rate on the day you pay.
Minimum order
One unit. Vehicles carry no minimum order quantity, so a single vehicle is a normal order and we handle it the same way as a fleet purchase.
Where you are buying several, consolidating into one shipment reduces the cost per unit. A forty foot container ships at a flat rate whatever is inside it, and that rate divides across the vehicles in it. Freight also forms part of the CIF value duty is calculated on, so the saving reaches the duty bill as well as the shipping invoice.
On a vehicle this size two fit comfortably in a forty foot container, so the step from one unit to two is where the per unit figure moves most.
Lead time. About six to eight weeks quay to quay on the Lagos route, plus one to two weeks for export preparation at origin and a further period for clearing and the drive out of the port. Lead time depends on availability, shipping schedule and clearing rather than on manufacture, so we give you a range and keep you informed rather than a fixed date we cannot control.
What decides the right one
Seats first, because that decision picks the vehicle rather than the trim. Five is what this car offers. Seven means a different model and we will quote it.
Then the boot. 475 litres up, 1,500 down. If the vehicle does airport runs or carries stock, that is the number to weigh rather than the power figure.
Then the engine, where the useful detail is not 145 PS but 210 N.m held from 1,750 rpm. Torque low in the range is what makes a car feel willing in traffic and safe when overtaking.
And before any of it, which range the vehicle comes from. Export or domestic decides whether parts exist for it in year three, and no amount of specification makes up for getting that wrong.
If this is not the right vehicle, the process does not change. Send the model, a photograph or a link, and we trace the unit, check the specification against the sales talk, and come back with a delivered Naira price with every line itemised.
Common questions
What is the minimum order?
One unit. Vehicles carry no minimum order quantity, so a single vehicle is a normal order and we handle it the same way as a fleet purchase.
Does ordering more than one reduce the cost?
Yes, on freight and clearing. A forty foot container ships at a flat rate whatever is inside it, and that rate divides across the vehicles in it. Freight also forms part of the CIF value duty is calculated on, so the saving reaches the duty bill as well as the shipping invoice. On a vehicle this size two fit comfortably, so the step from one unit to two is where the per unit figure moves most.
Can I get this with seven seats?
Not this model. Tell us you need seven and we will source and quote a seven seater separately. It will be a different vehicle at a different price, and we would rather do that than sell you this one and disappoint you.
Is a CVT a problem in Lagos traffic?
No, it is arguably the right gearbox for it. CVTs are smooth in stop-start conditions and have no clutch packs to cook. They want correct fluid at correct intervals like any automatic.
How does it compare with the smaller Tiggo?
Bigger in every direction that matters: 300 mm more length, a 475 litre boot against 420, and a turbo making 210 N.m against 140. If the budget reaches, this is the more capable family car. If it does not, the smaller one is honest transport.
How long does it take?
Roughly six to eight weeks on the water to Lagos, plus one to two weeks for export preparation at origin and clearing at this end.

Send us the model, or a photograph, or a link. Tracing a specific vehicle, checking which range it comes from and telling you what it costs delivered in Naira is the service. This one is an example of it.

Tell us how many seats you actually need
Whether the third row is regular or occasional, who drives the vehicle, how many units you need and roughly your budget. We will tell you which of the two vehicles fits, what the safety specification will be on that trim, and what it costs delivered in Naira with every line itemised.
There is no charge for it, and it commits you to nothing. If importing does not beat buying locally, we will say so.
