Box Trucks and Enclosed Body Trucks

An enclosed body truck protects the load and secures it, which is why distributors, bakeries, sachet water plants and pharmaceutical companies run them rather than open bodies.

Specification

These are the parameters that decide the right unit. Exact figures are confirmed against the specific vehicle before we quote.

Body length Commonly 10ft to 24ft. The correct length follows your load profile, not a standard choice.
Internal height Decides whether you can double-stack. Frequently the constraint on light bulky goods.
Payload rating Specified against your heaviest routine load, not the average day.
Axle configuration 4x2 for highway distribution; heavier configurations where road conditions demand it.
Tail lift Optional. Adds cost and weight, saves labour at every drop without a loading bay.
Body material Steel, aluminium or GRP panel. Affects payload, durability and repair cost.
Fuel Diesel in almost all cases at this size.
Drive side Left-hand drive only. Right-hand drive units cannot be registered normally.
Model year 2014 or newer for 2026 clearance, under the twelve-year rule.

We do not publish prices, because the landed figure depends on the specification, the Customs valuation and the exchange rate on the day you pay.

Minimum order

One unit. Vehicles carry no minimum order quantity, so a single truck is a normal order and we handle it the same way as a fleet purchase.

Where you are buying several, consolidating into one shipment usually reduces the cost per unit on freight and clearing. We will tell you at what quantity that starts to matter for your route.

Lead time depends on availability, shipping schedule and clearing rather than on manufacture, so we give you a range and keep you informed rather than a fixed date we cannot control.

Common questions

What is the minimum order?

One unit. Vehicles carry no minimum order quantity, so a single truck is a normal order and we handle it the same way as a fleet purchase.

How old can the truck be?

For clearance in 2026, 2014 or newer, under the twelve-year rule. An older unit is not a bargain, it is a vehicle that cannot clear.

Can I import a right-hand drive truck?

No. Left-hand drive only, because right-hand drive units cannot be registered normally. This is what catches buyers looking at United Kingdom and Japanese stock, where the cheapest units are right-hand drive.

How do I choose the body size?

On internal height and on your heaviest routine load rather than your average one. Height decides whether you can double stack, and light bulky goods run out of space long before they run out of payload.
